Unlock iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4 on iOS 6.1 using Ultrasn0w 1.2.8

unlock

Ultrasn0w 1.2.8 has just been released for compatibility with iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1. Once again, this update only adds 6.1 compatibility, it does not add compatibility for any of the newer baseband revisions. If you have an iPhone 4, this will only work if you have the 01.59.00 baseband. If you have an iPhone 3Gs, it will work on any of these basebands: 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00. If you have a 3Gs that has a newer baseband, you can install the 06.15.00 iPad baseband and then downgrade from 06.15.00 to 05.13.04 using Redsn0w.

Time to save your iOS 6.1 SHSH

tu

It is very likely that we will be seeing the evasi0n iOS 6.1 jailbreak within the next 24 hours, because of that, we thought it would be important to remind you that, if you have not already done so, you should save the iOS 6.1 SHSH keys for all of your devices using TinyUmbrella 6.10.02a. Apple will certainly have a team on hand to reverse-engineer the evasi0n jailbreak so that they can quickly patch the exploits and release an updated iOS6 to block the jailbreak. This usually happens within a week or 2 of the release of the jailbreak so …

redsn0w111

Today, the iPhone-Dev team released Redsn0w 0.9.13dev2 to fix issues with SSH after jailbreaking the iOS6 beta firmware. Users who used the beta tethered jailbreak had been experiencing issues where they were not able to connect via SSH after jailbreaking. This release will fix those issues. Jailbreak iOS 6 Beta with Redsn0w (Video Tutorial)

ios61

The other day we mentioned that a new release from the iPhone-Dev Team, Redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 can perform a tethered jailbreak of iOS 6 beta firmware on A4 and lower devices. This jailbreak uses the limera1n bootrom exploit which is why it won’t work on A5(X) devices. This jailbreak also does not install Cydia. All package installation and transferring must be done via SSH or afc2. This is a video tutorial on how to jailbreak iOS 6 beta on an iPhone 3Gs/4 or iPod Touch 4.

Jailbreak iOS6 beta 1 using Redsn0w 0.9.13dev1

redsn0w11

Just days after the seeding of iOS6 beta 1 to Apple developers, the iPhone-Dev team has released Redsn0w 0.9.13dev1 to perform a tethered jailbreak on iOS6 beta 1 using GeoHot’s limera1n exploit(A4 devices and lower only). However, this release is for developers only. First of all, you need a developer account in order to restore the iOS6 beta firmware anyway and secondly, this jailbreak will not install Cydia. It will, however, give you root access to the device via SSH or afc2.

The first time you run Redsn0w, you will need to specify your 6.0 beta 1 IPSW file. This …
