Pod2G Confirms More Device Compatibility for Upcoming iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak
Earlier we posted that Pod2G, member of the Chronic-Dev Team had released a video confirming a new untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0/5.0.1.
Pod2G has obviously working hard to bring the upcoming jailbreak closer to a release. Over the past few days he has been posting on his blog with status updates of the progress he has been making. So far Pod2G has confirmed the follow devices will be included in the untethered jailbreak:

Apple Adds Resolution Setting for Apple TV 4.4
It looks like Apple has added another small addition in the recent release of the 4.4 software for the Apple TV 2G, a resolution setting.
This setting allows users to set the resolution of the Apple TV to the following new resolutions:

Some people (including myself) have been having problems when ssh’ing into their iDevice. In my case, my Apple TV 2G.

We have now created pre-jailbroken firmware files in the Pwnage Tool to jailbreak the Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.1.

Ealier we posted that Groovy, a Grooveshark client for the Apple TV 2G had been released, we also released a tutorial on how to install it here.

How To Remove Apple TV 2G Packages
This is a quick, simple tutorial on how to remove application from the Apple TV 2G, for example Plex or NitoTV.
Step 1. ssh into your Apple TV 2G. Open Terminal or a PC alternative.
Step 2. Connect to your Apple TV. Type the following (please replace the IP address of YOUR Apple TV, this can be found by going to Settings – General – Network on the Apple TV:

Step 3. Then enter your password – The default password is “alpine”.

FireCore have just announced that they will be releasing a web browser and a Last.fm application for the second generation Apple TV in the form of a neat software suite called aTV Flash (black), the beta release of which is only a few weeks away.
