jbme30

@ still hasn’t officially released the JailbreakMe jailbreak that is set jailbreak the iPad2. However, today he gave us an update that initially the jailbreak will only support .3 firmware which is strange since the leaked jailbreakme 3.0 files from the other day only support 4.3, but he has mentioned that the compatibility is due to the timeframe he is on now since he is rushing to get the jailbreak out before iOS 4.3.4 is released.

However, he tweeted a few moments later that eventually he will be adding support for 4.2.1, 4.3, 4.3.1 and 4.3.2 …

A reminder to save your 4.2.1 SHSH blobs while you still can

shsh

UPDATE: It has been brought to our attention that Apple is no longer signing 4.2.1, if you didn’t save your SHSH for 4.2.1 by now, you will never be able to. If you are on 4.3 and looking to , you will unfortunately have to wait until a new tool for 4.3 is released.

As you know, 4.3 firmware was released to the public this week. Historically, Apple has had a buffer where they continue to sign the previous firmware(4.2.1 in this case) for a few days after the of the new firmware. After they stop …

How to re-enable iBooks on a jailbroken iDevice using Comex’ Honeypot

ibookshoneypot

News has been spreading lately that Apple has disabled on jailbroken iDevices. The fifth beta is now available (testers ONLY please!). Bluetooth is now working (and any sandbox-related issues should be resolved too). Please do not pirate the 4.2b3 IPSW! Only those enrolled in the iPhone Developer program have legitimate access to that IPSW.

There is actually a Windows version of beta5, but it’s excruciatingly slow compared to the Mac version because it’s forced to use files on your hard drive instead of RAM while it’s processing the very large IPSW …
