We have been patiently waiting all week for the release of the new iOS6 Evasi0n jailbreak, but it looks like we are going to have to wait one more day. It all started with a vague tweet from MuscleNerd who asked what the evad3rs team was planning for Super Bowl sunday. Rumors continued when someone noticed that all of the devices on the Evasi0n website had “3″ on the calendar app, leading people to believe that today, February 3rd, would be the release date.

Evasi0n Jailbreak, Temporarily Live and Quickly Removed
As you can see from the screenshot below, the Evasi0n jailbreak temporarily was showing 100% complete with download links for Linux, OSX and Windows seemingly available. However, the website was quickly reverted to it’s previous state of 85% and it doesn’t seem like any files actually made their way out of the website yet. With no definitive release date for the Evasi0n iOS6 jailbreak, I’m sure some of you, like me, have been refreshing the Evasi0n website for the past few days to watch the progress bar grow. Sometime this morning the bar reached 75% and entered the private beta stage that we discussed in our Evasi0n jailbreak announcement a few days ago. In anticipation for the upcoming iOS 6.x jailbreak, the evad3rs dev team has launched the official website for their new tool, dubbed the Evasi0n jailbreak. The upcoming jailbreak has been confirmed to work on ALL current devices running any iOS 6 firmware(6.0-6.1). The tool will work on Windows, Mac or Linux initially.
