Unlock with Ultrasn0w on 5.1.1 with Ultrasn0w 5.1.1 Fixer (DEB)

    For our readers who have updated to using Sn0wbreeze 2.9.5, you may have noticed that even with a compatible baseband, does not work on . Until the iPhone-Dev Team releases an update to Ultrasn0w, you will have to install the Ultrasn0w 5.1.1 in order to get the working. For your convenience, we have bundled the latest Ultrasn0w, MobileSubstrate and the Ultrasn0w 5.1.1 fixer into a single download.

    The easiest way to install these deb files is to simply transfer the files to any folder on your phone using iFunBox, iExplorer or SSH and then installing the deb files using on the device itself. Remember that this will only work for those who have preserved their Ultrasn0w compatible basebands(04.26.08 - 05.11.07 - 05.12.01 - 05.13.04 - 01.59.00).

    Ultrasn0w 1.2.7 has been released for native 5.1.1 support. The Ultrasn0w fixer is no longer needed, simply download Ultrasn0w 1.2.7 from Cydia or use our Ultrasn0w 1.2.7 deb for manual .

    Step 1: Download the Ultrasn0w 5.1.1 Fixer pack

    Step 2: Transfer all 3 included deb files to any folder on your device(make it something easy to remember like var/mobile/Documents).

    Step 3: On the device, open iFile and navigate to the folder where you copied the deb files to.

    Step 4: Install each of the deb files in this order: MobileSubstrate, Ultrasn0w, Ultrasn0w Fixer

    Step 5: Reboot your device and you should now be unlocked!

      wont work on my iphone 4 mobile substrate and ultrasnow are pink without green check in packages in cydia but the fixer installed

        Try installing Ultrasn0w directly from the Cydia repo instead of manually with the deb file.

      I have a 4S ios 5.1.1 bb 2.0.12.

      Installed Ultrasn0w to unlock however received the “half-installed” packages error.

      Came here to find the Ultrasn0w fix, installed it as per the above and ran it, yet still have the “half-installed” error when opening Cydia.

      Tried to remove Ultrasn0w in order to do a reinstall however during the removal process a sub-process error appears.

      How can I get Ultrasn0w removed at this point? Will repo.iparelhos.com help?

      Or is ultrasn0w just entirely uncompatible with my baseband?

        There are no iPhone 4S basebands that are compatible with the Ultrasn0w unlock. The only way to unlock the 4S is with a Gevey SIM or some other hardware unlock.

      Would this work with iphone 4 baseband 04:11:08 ?
      since i have a jailbreaked iphone 4 version 5.0.1 with baseband 04:11:08 and i need to badly unlock it !

        No, that baseband is not compatible with Ultrasn0w, the compatible basebands are listed in the post, if you don’t have one of those basebands you cannot use the Ultrasn0w software unlock.

      Cannot install Ultrasn0w 1.2.7. Keep getting the error “Cannot Comply” “Note: the requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed”. I have a 3gs with 5.1.1bb and 6.15.00 firmware. I jailbroke the phone with Cydia and in stalled the Ultrasn0w fixer 5.1.1. Tried it without the fixer installed as well and got same error. Any suggestions?
