Upcoming Ultrasn0w Update to Unlock iPhone 4S on Baseband 1.0.11

    Well the news just keeps coming. Earlier today MuscleNerd has announced that a new update for Ultrasn0w is underway which will allow users to unlock their iPhone 4S on baseband 1.0.11. It's also possible that the unlock will work on baseband 1.0.13(5.0.1) as well. However, since the unlock requires a jailbreak and the exploit pod2g is using in his jailbreak has been patched, we can for sure say it will work on 1.0.11. Unfortunately, the unlock that has been announced is for the 4S only and will not work on the iPhone4. There has been no ETA so far as to when this unlock will be released but one thing is for sure, this next month is going to be crazy for the jailbreak scene!

      Finally some good news from iPhone Dev Team! Hopefully they will manage to release this unlock soon.
      But I still wondering about jailbreak, will they release unlock along with jailbreak or is it still unknown?

        They will have to release the jailbreak either before or at the same time as the unlock since the unlock relies on a jailbreak.

            You will have to wait and try not to upgrade your IOS because Apple says so. You can go to the HomeDepot and have it unlock today if you cannot wait. JUST kidding.

        What’s not fair about it? It’s not like you’re paying them to hack iPhones. If you want to use an iPhone, use an official carrier or buy an unlockable iPhone.

        dunno but unlock for 4.11.08 is not possible and i heard it won’t be possible in the near future, and i’m worried about my 4s which will arrive in like 5 days, i hope it’s 1.0.11 xD

      I bought my 4s with 5.0.1 and baseband 1.0.13 out of the box, any news on the  unlock. jailbreak a success, just waiting to unlock now that i live overseas! :)

      well, I really appreciate what MN did in the past, helps me unlocked my 3G, and now I got a new 4S 5.0.1 1.0.13 and I hope it could be unlock soon…

      With this unlock would I be able to say use my sprint phone on AT&T or Verizon cause Sprint service really sucks

        Unfortunately this is just to unlock iPhones that are locked to a GSM provider such as AT&T, it will not work on iPhone’s that are locked to a CDMA network.
