Ultrasn0w 1.2.5 Tutorial Unlock iPhone on iOS5
Ultrasn0w 1.2.5 has now been released to support unlockers on iOS 5.0.1. Once again, this release is ONLY to add iOS5 compatibility, it does not add any new baseband support. If you were not able to unlock your phone before, you will still not be able to now. Compatible basebands are 04.26.08,05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, and 06.15.00 for the iPhone 3Gs and 01.59.00 for the iPhone4.
Step1: If you have a compatible firmware from above or you have an iPhone3Gs that you can update the baseband to 06.15.00 on you must first create and restore a custom iOS 5.0.1 firmware with redsn0w.
Step 2: After you've updated to iOS 5.0.1 while preserving your baseband, next you must install Ultrasn0w to actually unlock the phone. The ONLY compatible version of Ultrasn0w is 1.2.4 which was just released this morning. Go into Cydia and hit "search" and search for ultrasn0w. The repo is repo666.ultrasn0w.com it is a default repo that comes preinstalled with Cydia.

Step 3: After Ultrasn0w is installed just pop in your compatible SIM card and you're good to go. You may have to reboot your phone if you do not get service right away.
