JailbreakMe 3.0 Reaches 1,000,000 Jailbreaks in Less Than 24 Hours
It has been just under 24 hours since @Comex released his amazing new JailbreakMe 3.0 which allows users to jailbreak their devices straight from the mobile Safari browser with no need for a computer and of course brings iPad2 owners into the jailbreak community. @chpwn announced an hour ago that the new jailbreak had already reached 1,000,000 installs, an amazing figure in such a short time.

A Reminder to Backup your SHSH iOS 4.3.4 is Imminent
Shortly after Comex released JailbreakMe 2.0, Apple released an iOS update 4.0.2 which patched the security flaw in the Safari browser that allowed the original JailbreakMe exploit to work. Because of this, it is quite likely that they will do the same for this new PDF exploit and release iOS 4.3.4. Because of this, we want to remind our newcomers to backup your SHSH keys using our TinyUmbrella tutorial to make sure that you can restore back to your current firmware at some point in the future if need be.

Issues with iPad Camera Connection Kit after JailbreakMe 3.0
Jailbreak users have been reporting issues with the iPad Camera Connection Kit after using JailbreakMe 3.0 on their devices. Comex has acknowledged the problem and announced that it is an Invalid Checksum error and a patch should be released soon. There is no word whether users will have to restore and rejailbreak to fix it or if the fix will be released in the form of a cydia patch. Comex originally estimated it would be out a few hours ago but it would appear that he has run into some issues.

PDF Patcher 2 Released by Comex to patch JailbreakMe 3.0 PDF Exploit
Those of you who have been around since the 4.0.x days remember that after JailbreakMe 2.0 was released, Comex quickly released a pdf patch for the exploit that allows the jailbreak to work to prevent any malicious attempts at accessing your device. Again, Comex has released a patch for the exploit(which will likely be patched in an upcoming update from Apple). Search for “PDF Patcher 2″ in Cydia to download it.

JailbreakMe 3.0 to Support only 4.3.3 at Launch – Support for other firmware added in the future
@Comex still hasn’t officially released the JailbreakMe 3.0 jailbreak that is set to jailbreak the iPad2. However, today he gave us an update that initially the jailbreak will only support 4.3.3 firmware which is strange since the leaked jailbreakme 3.0 files from the other day only support 4.3, but he has mentioned that the compatibility is due to the timeframe he is on now since he is rushing to get the jailbreak out before iOS 4.3.4 is released.

iFaith 1.1 has been released updated SHSH dumper
Last month we told you about a new project from @ih8sn0w the creator of sn0wbreeze. iFaith is a public SHSH dumper that allows you to dump the SHSH blob of your currently installed firmware even if Apple is no longer signing it. This is a great tool for users who have purchased second-hand iDevices and want to save the SHSH of the older firmware that is installed before updating.

Unfinished JailbreakMe 3.0 Jailbreak has been Leaked
@Comex much anticipated JailbreakMe 3.0 jailbreak, which was being developed to jailbreak the iPad2, has now been leaked onto the internet. A Computer Science major, Ryan Lobbins, from Arizona was digging around on one of the websites Comex linked to earlier this week and discovered that he had been storing the not-even-finished saffron jailbreak files on this site. He downloaded the files and uploaded them to his own website and from there the files spread like wild fire. Comex has already announced that this jailbreak was not yet finished and is very buggy.
