Mac OS X Lion Announced – Everything You Need To Know

The final version of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion has finally been unveiled. Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior VP of Worldwide Product Marketing took the stage to announce the release month, July, and went over 10 of the operating system’s “250 new features”.

Apple is currently hosting it’s yearly WWDC (World Wide Developers Conference), the conference is a week long and is currently in it’s second day.

Yesterdays keynote speech brought the announcement of some great new products from Apple. Namely Apple’s latest OS X version, OS X Lion, iOS 5 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices, as well as a new service called iCloud.

iOS5 Features Announced at WWDC

Today, developers will gain access to iOS5 to begin updating applications and to start taking advantage of all the great new features! For the rest of us, we will have to wait until Fall.

Ryan Petrich, the jailbreak developer who has brought us such tweaks and apps as ActionMenu, LiveClock, RotationInhibitor, OverBoard and DisplayOut is mid-way through his first week of his new jailbreak initiative TweakWeek. iFaith aka ProjectiF is the first public SHSH dumper

As we speak, @ih8sn0w is demonstrating and explaining his latest project, ProjectiF, which has been revealed to be named iFaith. iFaith is the first program of it’s kind. It is an SHSH dumper which can dump a firmware blob(needed to downgrade firmware) from your currently installed firmware, even if  Apple is no longer signing that firmware and you didn’t save your SHSH while it was being signed.
