How To Copy A Video File Created In Cycorder From Your iDevice

This is a quick and easy tutorial on how to copy a video file that has been created on your iDevice to your computer.

When I first started recording with Cycorder from my iPhone 3G I loved it, I caught some great videos but then when I got home, I wasn't sure how to copy them from my iPhone to my computer so I could share them with others. In this tutorial I will show you how.

You will need:

An iDevice with Cycorder installed
A video or two that has previously been recordered on your device
OpenSSH installed

-------------------------------

Step 1. First we will SSH into your device. If you already know how to do this, great do it now. If not, read steps 1, 2 and 4 of this tutorial here

Step 2. Within the SSH program you are using, navigate to your /private/var/mobile/Media/Videos folder. Your movies are stored within this folder.

Step 4. Great, now all we need to do is copy the videos from the device to your computer. To do this, highlight the files you want to copy and drag them to the folder you would like to move them to.

Step 5. You will see a progress bar somewhere within your application telling you the files are copying. Your progress bar may look different to mine.

Step 6. Once this process is complete you are finished, the files have been copied to your computer
