iOS4 on your 3G causing issues? Turn off Spotlight

    Many 3G iPhone users have been complaining that installing iOS4 on their phones causes the phone to move very slowly and cause a lot of lag. Many users have reported that this can be fixed simply by disabling spotlight search. Just go to settings>general>spotlight search and uncheck any of the spotlight search settings you don't want indexed. Obviously the more you turn off the faster it will be so turn them all off if you never use spotlight search:

      Not long after the jailbreak was released for iOS 4 I updated, mostly out of interests sake, to see what it was like. In the end I found it ran much to slow so restored to 3.1.3.

      After reading this, maybe i’ll give iOS4 another shot :P
